I use Contrasting colors and geometric shapes with sharp lines to create art with smooth textures and rich colors with the final product being modern geometrical abstracts. My connection to my work is based off of fine detail I work towards of having perfectly shaped lines and flat colors. I have a strong connection to lines and other geometric shapes and the idea of using mathematics to create my work leaving it perfectly weighted and geometric. I find that taking away true subject matter, forces the viewer to make decisions of my work based off of is the eye stimulated and the quality of the work. My work takes a great detail of planning out making sure that mathematically is correctly weighted. When the plotting process and the color selections come together to create something that is eye stimulating and pleasing that is when I feel I have achieved a finished product.
I graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelors degree in Interdisciplinary Arts and Performance as well as an associates in Fine Art. I have tried many different types of art but the idea of sharp lines and geometric design has always staid with me. I make art to appeal to the eye of the beholder not to tell a story or make a point, that is up to the viewer to do so or not. I have always enjoyed creating and have been challenged my math, bringing those together has allowed me to create work in which I am pleased with and am encouraged to continue to create.
